A Made in China label could imply a lot of things. It could simply mean a product was manufactured in China. It could also mean that the product bears the Made in China symbol. However, in the past, Italy was renowned more for its furniture and construction-related products than its electronics manufacturing. The same will probably be the case in the near future. With the increasing globalization of the economy worldwide, it is expected that companies in different sectors, like electronics and furniture, will move from their respective homelands to areas where they can make a bigger business.

Globalization will continue to benefit the world. However, countries like China and Italy will gain more benefits from this. In the future, it is expected that manufacturing will move further eastward, leading to areas with cheaper labor and cheaper resources. Some may predict that the coming of China and Italy to the top of the global manufacturing hierarchy will lead to the rise of "asia envy" across major parts of the developed world.
